Building on existing AI tools like Magic Eraser and Photo Unblur, this new feature makes complex photo edits accessible to people without professional editing skills.
The tool allows users to make precise adjustments to specific parts of an image, such as the subject, sky, or background. Users can easily reposition subjects for better composition, remove unwanted distractions like bag straps, and adjust the sky to match their memory of the moment.
When users move a subject, Magic Editor uses generative AI to create new content that fills in the resulting gaps seamlessly. Google plans to give select Pixel phones early access to this experimental technology later this year.
