Google Pixel 8 Series Uses AI to Perfect Group Photos and Remove Video Noise

The Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro introduce powerful AI camera tools like Best Take and Audio Eraser Magic to effortlessly fix flawed photos and videos.

The newly released Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro feature the upgraded Tensor G3 chipset, which brings significant enhancements to artificial intelligence capabilities. The most notable additions to the camera system are AI-driven editing tools that automatically fix common photography problems without requiring advanced technical skills from the user.

A feature called Best Take solves the classic group photo problem by capturing five to seven consecutive shots and seamlessly combining the best facial expressions from each frame into a single perfect image. Additionally, Audio Eraser Magic analyzes video recordings and isolates specific sounds, allowing users to easily remove distracting background noise while keeping the primary audio intact.

Beyond the new software tricks, the hardware upgrades deliver noticeable improvements in overall camera performance when compared directly to the previous Pixel 7 generation. The devices also introduce Pixel's first-ever temperature sensor, further expanding the practical utility of the smartphone's built-in hardware.
