Google unveils a massive overhaul of its search interface and productivity suite, embedding advanced AI agents and new Gemini models directly into its most popular tools.

Google shows off a sweeping artificial intelligence overhaul at its annual I/O developer conference, revealing that it completely rebuilds its core products around the technology. The tech giant announces a larger, redesigned search box that accommodates natural language queries and allows AI agents to handle complex research projects for users.

The company unveils its new Gemini 3.5 AI models alongside a multimodal system called Gemini Omni, which generates video from mixed inputs like text, images, and audio. Additionally, Google introduces Gemini Spark, a persistent AI agent embedded directly into Gmail, Docs, and Chrome that retains context and continues working over time.

Other major debuts include Docs Live, a voice-driven document creation tool, and Ask YouTube, a conversational feature that answers questions by pulling specific moments from videos. Google also teases a new line of AI-enabled, audio-equipped smart glasses that arrive in the fall.
