Google Search Adds Watchlist Feature for Movies and TV Shows
Google Search now allows mobile users to save movies and TV shows directly to a Watchlist. The new feature makes it easier to track and access entertainment options across various platforms.
Google Search introduces a new Watchlist feature that helps users keep track of movies and TV shows directly from mobile search results. When people search for a specific title, a new card appears on the page that allows them to add the content to a "Watchlist" or mark it as "Watched."
The search cards provide convenient shortcuts based on where the content is available. If a movie or show streams on YouTube, the card displays a "Watch now" button with pricing information, while theatrical releases show a "Get tickets" button that links directly to showtimes.
Saved titles automatically populate a visual Collection that displays cover art for easy browsing. This feature currently rolls out to mobile web browsers, as well as the Google app for both Android and iOS devices.
