Google Set to Unveil Pixel 4 and New Hardware at October 15 Event
Google is preparing to launch the heavily leaked Pixel 4 alongside several other new products and software features at its upcoming October 15 hardware event. The flagship phones promise 90Hz displays, radar-based gesture controls, and advanced facial recognition.
Google hosts its October 15 hardware event in just a few days, headlined by the highly anticipated Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. The flagship smartphones feature 90Hz OLED displays, Snapdragon 855 processors, 6GB of RAM, and a dual-camera setup on the rear. Buyers can choose from three distinct colors: Just Black, Clearly White, and Oh So Orange.
Beyond standard smartphone specs, the new Pixel devices introduce innovative radar-based gesture controls and an Apple-style face unlock system. A potential 5G variant is also on the horizon, though details about that specific model remain under wraps until the official presentation.
The event extends well beyond the new phones, as Google plans to showcase upcoming software features like next-generation Assistant functionality and the real-time transcription tool Live Caption. Additional leaked features such as Pixel Themes, automated Rules, and a Fast Share system could see formal releases, with many of these software upgrades expected to eventually reach older Pixel devices.
