Google Transforms Antigravity Into Full Developer Ecosystem at I/O 2026

Google unveils Antigravity 2.0 and a suite of new tools at I/O 2026, transforming the platform into a comprehensive ecosystem for building AI agents. The updates include a desktop app, CLI access, and a new premium pricing tier.

Google introduces the Antigravity ecosystem at I/O 2026, expanding the platform from a single product into a comprehensive suite of tools for building AI agents. The centerpiece of this expansion is Antigravity 2.0, a standalone desktop application that serves as a dedicated surface for developers to focus on agent development.

Developers now have multiple ways to interact with these agents through the newly launched Antigravity CLI for terminal-based workflows and direct Gemini API access for programmatic querying. An Antigravity SDK is also available in preview, allowing developers to build custom agents using a harness co-optimized with Gemini, while a new export flow seamlessly moves projects from AI Studio Build to local development with full conversational context intact.

Enterprise users gain access to Antigravity 2.0 and the CLI through the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform on Google Cloud. To support heavy workloads, Google launches a $100 per month AI Ultra plan that offers priority access and five times the capacity of the Pro plan, complete with a simplified credit system and a $100 holiday weekend bonus for early subscribers.
