The web-based application works by having users take three images of their skin concern from different angles using their phone's camera. The system then prompts users to answer questions about their skin type, the duration of the issue, and other symptoms to help narrow down the possibilities.
After analyzing the submitted information, the AI model draws from its knowledge of 288 conditions to provide a list of possible matches. The tool displays dermatologist-reviewed information and similar images from the web, though Google emphasizes that it is not intended to provide a medical diagnosis or replace professional clinical advice.
