GSA Adds Grok AI to OneGov Program for 42 Cents Per Agency

The General Services Administration signs a new agreement to provide Elon Musk’s Grok AI chatbot to all federal agencies through the OneGov procurement program. This initiative treats the federal government as a single buyer to maximize purchasing power, and it makes the artificial intelligence tool available for just $0.42 per agency.
This contract represents the longest AI deal under the OneGov strategy to date, remaining active for federal operations until March 2027. The arrangement also provides participating agencies with an upgrade path to achieve higher FedRAMP and Department of Defense Impact Levels, which allows Grok to handle secure, custom government workloads.
Grok AI joins other major technology firms like OpenAI, Microsoft, Oracle, and Amazon in securing OneGov agreements. Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner Josh Gruenbaum highlights that this widespread access to advanced AI models fulfills a promise to win the global AI race, while Musk praises the deal for unlocking his company's frontier AI across the entire government.
