The Seattle startup brings its total raised capital to $19 million, with investments coming from Mason Avenue Investments, Taylor Frigon Capital Partners, NetEase, and several other venture firms. The company plans to use this fresh capital to develop its next generation of glove hardware.

The HaptX glove uses an external pneumatic system to inflate and deflate tiny air pockets inside the glove, allowing users to physically feel virtual objects they interact with in a digital space. While the consumer VR market struggles to meet early expectations, HaptX focuses entirely on enterprise clients who use the technology for design and visualization processes. Customers utilize these realistic touch sensations to evaluate virtual prototypes before committing to physical manufacturing.

Beyond virtual reality, HaptX expands its reach into the robotics sector by framing its technology as a tool for real-world input and output.
