HBO Max becomes the exclusive streaming home for the legendary Japanese animation studio Studio Ghibli. The WarnerMedia streaming service strikes a deal with GKids, the American distributor for Ghibli, to bring beloved classics like Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, and Princess Mononoke to audiences. This marks the very first time that the studio's complete collection of films is available to stream anywhere.
This major acquisition gives HBO Max a powerful asset as it prepares to battle for streaming supremacy against heavyweights like Disney+.
