Healthcare Analytics Firm OM1 Raises $50M to Improve Patient Outcomes

OM1 secures $50 million in new funding to expand its big-data analytics platform for hospitals and pharmaceutical companies. The investment allows the company to provide deeper clinical insights and improve treatment tracking across chronic conditions.

OM1, a healthcare big-data analytics company, raises $50 million in a new financing round led by Scale Venture Partners. The company plans to use this capital to expand its sales, marketing, and product development efforts as it delivers clinical insights to hospitals and pharmaceutical companies. This significant investment highlights the growing importance of data access in reducing healthcare costs and increasing operational efficiency.

Pharmaceutical companies leverage OM1's data to demonstrate drug utility to the Food and Drug Administration, while hospitals and physicians use it to identify the most effective treatment paths. The company focuses on chronic conditions such as immunology, rheumatology, and cardiometabolic disorders. CEO Dr. Richard Gliklich emphasizes that clinical outcomes remain the most critical metric in healthcare, and this funding accelerates the delivery of real-world evidence to clients.

As a result of the funding round, Scale Venture Partners managing director Rory O'Driscoll joins the OM1 board of directors. He notes that artificial intelligence and data act as driving forces in industry transformations, praising OM1 for bridging these technologies in healthcare. Existing investors, including General Catalyst, Polaris Partners, and 7wire Ventures, also participate in the round to support the company's mission to improve medical development and care delivery.
