HMD Global officially sends out invites for its MWC 2019 event in Barcelona, confirming the unveiling of the flagship Nokia 9 PureView on February 24th. The company's chief product officer heavily teases the announcement, building significant anticipation for the upcoming showcase. Alongside the flagship, rumors suggest HMD also introduces a smartphone featuring an in-screen front camera at the same event.
The Nokia 9 PureView stands out with a unique penta-camera rear setup arranged in a 1-1-3 formation equipped with ZEISS optics. Leaked renders and specs reveal a 5.9-inch Quad HD 3D glass OLED display, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a premium glass and metal build. The device reportedly packs a Snapdragon 845 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 4150mAh battery with wireless charging.
In addition to the PureView flagship, HMD potentially reveals other new devices like the Nokia 8.1 Plus or the Nokia 6.2. These secondary phones feature ultra-slim bezels with a hole-punch camera, 6.2-inch displays, and dual rear cameras with ZEISS optics. Consumers get all the official details and confirmations when the curtains rise at the Barcelona event later this month.
