Apple announces that the HomePod wireless speaker is now available in mainland China and Hong Kong starting January 18. The device delivers high-fidelity audio through an Apple-designed woofer for deep bass and an array of seven beamforming tweeters. Philip Schiller calls the HomePod "the perfect wireless speaker for music lovers."
The smart speaker automatically senses its location in the room and adjusts the audio accordingly to provide the best possible listening experience. Users have the ability to create a stereo pair with two HomePods, which produces a wider and more immersive soundstage for their favorite tracks.
HomePod integrates deeply with Apple Music to give users access to millions of songs and supports AirPlay 2 for streaming audio directly from various iOS applications. Additionally, the built-in Siri voice assistant allows users to interact with their music and control the speaker using just their voice.
