The hardware specifications of the Exodus 1s reflect its low price point, featuring a Snapdragon 435 processor, Android 8.1, and a 5.7-inch HD+ screen. Despite the modest components and an outdated microUSB port, the phone includes 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a headphone jack. The true value lies not in the hardware performance, but in the specialized blockchain features built into the device.
The phone functions as a hardware wallet and grants users the ability to run their own full Bitcoin node. HTC executive Phil Chen describes this capability as putting a metaphorical Swiss bank directly in the user's pocket.
