IBM introduces Watson Orchestrate, an AI-powered automation tool designed to increase personal productivity for business professionals in sales, human resources, and operations. Users interact with the system using natural language to perform tasks like scheduling meetings or monitoring business opportunities. The tool requires no IT skills, making advanced automation accessible to everyday workers.
The platform connects seamlessly to popular business applications such as Salesforce, SAP, and Workday, as well as standard collaboration tools like email, chat, and calendars. Watson Orchestrate understands context based on organizational knowledge and prior interactions, allowing it to identify the correct contacts and select the right applications to execute tasks behind the scenes.
Watson Orchestrate is currently in preview within IBM Cloud Paks for Automation, with early access opening in June and a general SaaS availability planned for later in 2021. This release aligns with a recent IBM survey showing that 80 percent of companies already use or plan to use automation tools within the next year, positioning IBM competitively alongside similar offerings like Microsoft's Power Platform.
