IBM Watson Health Unveils AI Orchestration Tools for Medical Imaging

IBM Watson Health introduces two new orchestration tools to seamlessly integrate AI applications into radiology workflows. The cloud-based solutions aim to improve the radiologist reading experience while easing the IT burden.

IBM Watson Health introduces a new AI orchestration offering to help medical imaging organizations integrate multiple AI applications seamlessly. The company officially launches IBM Imaging AI Orchestrator at the RSNA 2021 Annual Meeting, providing a cloud-based service that gives radiologists scalable access to vetted, regulatory-cleared AI algorithms from leading providers.

This orchestrator allows radiologists to control AI insights directly within their reading workflow and view consolidated results in their PACS system. By outsourcing the management of diverse AI applications to IBM, IT departments experience significantly reduced administrative burdens while ensuring strict data security and privacy standards.

Alongside the AI Orchestrator, IBM unveils IBM Imaging Workflow Orchestrator with Watson to modernize the overall radiologist reading experience. These combined solutions address the rapid proliferation of medical algorithms and staffing shortages, making it easier for healthcare facilities to adopt and benefit from complex AI technologies without going it alone.
