The Palo Alto-based startup significantly improves upon its original model by boosting its intelligence quotient in areas like physics, mathematics, and coding, while retaining the high emotional quotient that makes its assistant uniquely conversational and empathetic.
Benchmark tests show Inflection-2.5 closing the gap with GPT-4, though it still trails slightly behind the industry leader. On the MMLU benchmark, the new model scores 85.5 compared to GPT-4's 87.3, and it achieves similar near-parity results on Hungarian Math exams, Physics GRE tests, grade school math problems, and code generation evaluations.
