Intel introduces its new Intel Arc graphics brand at CES 2022, officially entering the discrete graphics market. The company ships these new high-performance graphics products to over 50 OEM customers, including major brands like Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo, for upcoming mobile and desktop designs.
The Intel Arc lineup features competitive technologies such as hardware-accelerated ray tracing and Xe Super Sampling (XeSS), an AI-driven upscaling tool. Game developers show strong support for XeSS, with the technology already integrating into Death Stranding Director's Cut and receiving commitments from major studios like Ubisoft, PUBG Studios, and Kojima Productions.
Beyond consumer graphics, Intel expands its automotive reach through its Mobileye division by announcing the EyeQ Ultra system-on-chip built specifically for autonomous vehicles. This new SoC builds upon existing EyeQ technology to advance the self-driving capabilities of future cars.
