The Italian Garante cites specific worries regarding the lack of age verification mechanisms on the platform, which exposes minors to absolutely unsuitable responses despite the service's official terms requiring users to be over 13. Furthermore, the agency points out that OpenAI fails to provide adequate information to data subjects about how their personal data is handled, directly contradicting the transparency requirements mandated by European privacy law.
