Kiwibot Launches Robot Rental Service for Delivery, Ads, and Warehousing
Kiwibot introduces a robot-as-a-service model that allows businesses to temporarily rent its autonomous robots for advertising, last-mile delivery, or warehouse logistics.
Kiwibot introduces a new robot-as-a-service program that allows businesses to rent its autonomous delivery robots for a limited time. This flexible rental model gives companies access to Kiwibot's fleet without requiring a permanent investment, expanding the startup's reach beyond its traditional university food delivery partnerships.
The new offering features three distinct service tiers: Kiwibot Advertising, Kiwibot Leap for last-mile delivery, and Kiwibot Cargo for warehouse logistics. The advertising option leverages the robots as mobile billboards and follows Kiwibot's recent acquisition of the advertising firm Nickelytics, with a recent pilot program already completed in New York City alongside AWS.
The Kiwibot Cargo option aims to provide temporary relief for warehouses facing severe labor shortages during the busy holiday season. These robots handle tasks like moving hazardous chemicals and performing overnight surveillance, offering an affordable and accurate alternative when human workers are unavailable.
