Leaked Release Dates Reveal Surprising Launch Order for Samsung Galaxy S20 and Z Flip
A new leak reveals that Samsung plans to release the Galaxy S20 series on March 6, but the foldable Z Flip could actually hit store shelves weeks earlier. The top-tier S20 Ultra reportedly carries a hefty price tag of $1,300.
A recent leak from Max Weinbach reveals the expected release timelines for Samsung's upcoming smartphones, and the foldable device surprisingly beats the traditional flagship to market. According to the leak, the Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra go on sale on the first Friday of March, which falls on March 6.
This 24-day gap between the February 11 unveiling and the March 6 release is a full week longer than the wait consumers experienced for the previous Galaxy S10. Weinbach also notes that the premium Galaxy S20 Ultra carries a steep expected retail price of $1,300.
In a surprising twist, the leak indicates the clamshell-style Galaxy Z Flip launches much sooner, with a potential release date of February 14. The foldable phone reportedly costs $1,400 and may initially be a timed exclusive for AT&T, though an unlocked version is also expected to be available at launch.
