Lyft abandons its expensive $299 per month All-Access plan in favor of a more affordable subscription called Lyft Pink. The new membership costs just $19.99 per month and offers a variety of discounts and perks rather than a set number of included rides. This strategic price drop aims to attract a larger base of everyday riders who find the previous high cost prohibitive.
The Lyft Pink membership provides a 15% discount on all car rides, three free bike or scooter rides per month, and priority airport pickups. Subscribers also receive relaxed cancellation policies, waived lost and found fees, and exclusive partnership offers. This differs significantly from the old All-Access plan, which simply covered up to 30 rides capped at $15 each.
Existing All-Access subscribers receive enrollment offers for the new program as Lyft opens a waitlist for the general public. The company plans a gradual rollout across the United States until the membership reaches full availability later this year. This move directly competes with Uber Pass, a similar ride discount and delivery subscription that costs $24.99 per month.
