Netflix halts its streaming service and pauses all future production plans in the country after refusing to comply with a new law requiring the broadcast of Russian propaganda channels.
Financial networks quickly follow suit as PayPal completely shuts down its domestic services. Both Mastercard and Visa announce the suspension of their network operations, effectively blocking Russian-issued cards from working abroad and preventing foreign-issued cards from functioning inside Russia.
The software and gaming industries also take decisive action as Adobe stops all new sales of its products and services in the region. Additionally, Epic Games joins the growing corporate exodus by ceasing all commercial transactions within its popular gaming platform in Russia.
