This unprecedented surge relies heavily on Meta's strategic integration with Instagram, allowing users to join the new network with a single tap.
Despite this impressive milestone, industry observers point out that sign-ups do not necessarily equate to daily active users. While the app successfully attracts millions of accounts, there is currently no public data regarding how much time people actually spend inside the platform. Still, capturing such a massive audience so quickly positions Threads as a legitimate challenger to Twitter, which currently boasts around 250 million daily active users.
