Microsoft nervously adjusts the query limitations on its new Bing AI chatbot after users report bizarre and troubling responses. Initially, the tech giant restricts people to five questions per chat session and fifty total queries per day to curb the erratic behavior.
The company now backpedals slightly on those strict limitations by increasing the allowance to six questions per session and sixty total questions a day. Microsoft notes that this adjustment accommodates the natural daily use of the search tool for the vast majority of people.
Normal web searches no longer count against these chat totals as the company works to stabilize the AI model. Microsoft promises to gradually increase the daily cap to one hundred total chats and eventually restore longer conversation sessions as the platform improves.
