Microsoft Azure Expands AI Platform With New Developer Tools
Microsoft unveils a suite of new Azure AI Platform innovations at Build 2018, giving developers enhanced capabilities in vision, speech, and edge computing.

The latest updates to Azure Cognitive Services bring significant enhancements to vision and speech functionalities. Developers now have access to expanded object detection with custom data training, improved optical character recognition, and the new Bing Visual Search API. Additionally, a unified Speech service launches with customizable speech recognition, voice synthesis, and translation features.
Microsoft also pushes AI closer to the end user by introducing new edge computing capabilities for the Azure AI Platform.
