Following a milestone of 100 million daily active users, the company integrates three core Bing features—Chat, Tone, and Search—into the keyboard for both iOS and Android platforms. This move allows millions of users to access the AI assistant from virtually any mobile app that supports a third-party keyboard.
The new Chat feature assists users with complex queries on the go, such as finding a local restaurant or generating a clever pun for a conversation. The Tone feature helps users refine their text to sound more professional, casual, polite, or concise, which is especially helpful for work emails or language learning. Meanwhile, the Search functionality enables quick web lookups without forcing users to switch away from their current application.
Setting up the new AI capabilities takes just a few simple steps after downloading or updating the SwiftKey app. Users simply enable SwiftKey as their default keyboard and tap the new Bing icon located just above the keys.
