Microsoft Bundles EA Play Into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Tiers

Microsoft is bringing EA Play to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC subscribers at no additional cost this holiday season. The addition further cements Game Pass as an incredibly comprehensive gaming subscription.

Microsoft is enhancing Xbox Game Pass by bundling EA Play into its Ultimate and PC tiers at no extra cost starting this holiday season. This addition gives subscribers immediate access to a library of more than 60 top EA titles, including popular games like Need for Speed Heat and FIFA 20, without requiring a separate subscription.

Beyond the back catalog, the integrated EA Play membership allows gamers to try select new releases like FIFA 21 and Madden NFL 21 for up to 10 hours before making a purchase decision. Additionally, Game Pass Ultimate members are able to stream a selection of these EA titles directly to their Android mobile devices.

This strategic move reinforces Microsoft's vision of Game Pass as the central future of its Xbox business. By continually adding value through services like EA Play, Xbox Live Gold, and cloud streaming, Microsoft is shifting its business model away from strictly selling hardware and toward building an all-encompassing gaming subscription.
