Microsoft Copilot Expands to MacOS and Adds New Data Features
Microsoft releases Copilot for MacOS and integrates the AI assistant into the Viber messaging app. The update also brings Apple ID login support and new file upload capabilities for data analysis.
Microsoft officially releases the Copilot app for MacOS, allowing users to access the full AI experience directly on their Mac computers. The application is currently available for download in the App Store, though access remains limited to a specific list of countries including the United States, India, Japan, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Germany, and Canada.
In addition to the MacOS launch, Microsoft integrates Copilot directly into the Viber messaging app so users can ask questions, seek advice, and generate images without leaving their chats. The company also updates the Copilot for iOS app to support sign-ins using an Apple ID, a feature that will expand to the MacOS app in the coming weeks.
The latest update brings several functional improvements, including the ability to upload tabular data files like XLSX, CSV, and JSON for AI analysis. Copilot also introduces smarter follow-up suggestions to keep conversations flowing naturally and enhances its context awareness across Windows devices for a more seamless user experience.
