Microsoft officially removes the waitlist for its Bing AI chatbot, allowing anyone to access the tool simply by signing into a Microsoft account. This transition from a "Limited Preview" to an "Open Preview" reflects the company's rapid customer adoption and strong engagement since the initial launch just a couple of months ago.
The tech giant announces a major push toward a more visual experience by integrating images, videos, charts, and updated formatting directly into chat responses. Additionally, users soon have the ability to upload their own images as prompts, while the AI-powered Image Creator expands its language support to cover all languages available on Bing.
Microsoft also significantly improves chat history by letting users resume past conversations and seamlessly move chats to the Microsoft Edge sidebar, while adding options to export and share AI summaries. Most notably, Bing prepares to introduce third-party plugin support soon, enabling partners like OpenTable and Wolfram|Alpha to handle complex tasks such as booking reservations or solving advanced math problems.
