The updated search experience moves beyond plain text by delivering rich image and video answers directly in the chat interface. Microsoft also plans to roll out new multimodal support shortly, enabling the AI to process and understand various types of media alongside traditional text queries.
Furthermore, Bing evolves from isolated chat sessions into a continuous productivity tool by introducing chat history and persistent chats within the Edge browser. Microsoft simultaneously opens up platform capabilities, empowering third-party developers to build on top of Bing and Edge so users can complete tasks and take actions directly from their search results.
