Microsoft Launches Power Pages to Simplify Secure Website Creation
Microsoft introduces Power Pages, a new standalone low-code platform that allows users to build data-powered external websites without deep technical expertise. The tool evolves from the previous Power Apps Portals to compete with no-code website builders.
Microsoft expands its Power Platform with the preview release of Power Pages, a standalone software-as-a-service product for building modern, data-powered websites. Formerly known as Power Apps Portals, this newly independent tool allows anyone, regardless of their technical background, to style, configure, and publish secure business websites using built-in low-code design capabilities.
The platform provides a design studio where users add text, video, images, and business data forms to their pages or start from Microsoft's pre-built templates. While the interface caters to non-technical creators, Power Pages also integrates deeply with Visual Studio Code, Azure DevOps, and GitHub so professional developers can extend and customize complex site features.
Security and data management remain central to the product, offering role-based access controls, web application firewalls via Azure, and native integration with Microsoft Dataverse. With this release, Microsoft directly challenges no-code website builders like Wix and Squarespace while strengthening its low-code portfolio against cloud competitors like AWS, Google, and Salesforce.
