This new tool consolidates existing AI features from GitHub, Microsoft 365, Bing, and Edge into one cohesive system that understands natural language requests.
Copilot uniquely incorporates the context of the web, your work data, and your current PC activity to provide relevant assistance while prioritizing user privacy and security. Users access the AI companion easily within Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Edge, and Bing, either as a standalone app or through a simple right-click.
The rollout begins as part of a free Windows 11 update starting September 26, with subsequent releases across Bing, Edge, and Microsoft 365 this fall. This update also includes over 150 new features, bringing AI-powered enhancements to familiar applications like Paint, Photos, and Clipchamp, while Bing integrates the latest DALL.E 3 model from OpenAI.
