Microsoft unveils Microsoft Copilot, a unified everyday AI companion that consolidates the company's various AI tools into a single, seamless experience. This new offering incorporates the context of the web, your work data, and your current PC activity to provide better assistance while keeping privacy and security at the forefront.

The tech giant rebrands its existing AI features, including Bing Chat and Bing Chat Enterprise, under the Microsoft Copilot name to simplify the user experience. Users access this AI assistant easily in Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Edge, and Bing, where it functions as a standalone app or appears conveniently with a simple right-click.

Copilot rolls out initially as part of a free Windows 11 update starting September 26, with broader integration across Bing, Edge, and Microsoft 365 following later this fall. The update also brings over 150 new features to Windows 11, integrating AI-powered capabilities into familiar apps like Paint and Photos, while Bing adds support for OpenAI's latest DALL.E 3 model.
