Microsoft Unifies AI Tools Under Single Copilot Experience

Microsoft introduces Microsoft Copilot, a unified everyday AI companion that combines web context, work data, and PC activity into a single seamless experience across Windows 11, Edge, and Microsoft 365.

Microsoft officially unveils Microsoft Copilot as a unified everyday AI companion that consolidates various AI tools into a single, seamless experience. By combining chat interfaces with advanced large language models, the system allows users to ask for what they need in natural language and receive answers, created content, or direct actions.

The new Copilot uniquely incorporates the context of the web, a user's work data, and their current PC activity to provide highly relevant assistance. It prioritizes user privacy and security while functioning as an easily accessible app or a convenient right-click feature across Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Edge, and Bing.

This rollout begins with the free Windows 11 update on September 26 and expands across Bing, Edge, and Microsoft 365 throughout the fall. The update also brings over 150 new features to Windows 11, including AI-enhanced capabilities for apps like Paint and Photos, while Bing integrates the latest OpenAI DALL.E 3 model for improved image generation.
