Microsoft launches Power Pages, a new standalone product within its Power Platform that allows users to create business websites without extensive coding knowledge. Previously existing as a feature called Power Apps portals, this tool breaks out on its own with a completely redesigned user experience aimed at empowering anyone to build data-powered, secure, and modern websites.
The tech giant differentiates Power Pages from competing web design startups by emphasizing deep integration with its existing ecosystem. Advanced users connect the platform to Visual Studio Code, GitHub, and Azure DevOps to automate workflows and use continuous integration and deployment practices. Additionally, builders implement role-based access controls and web app firewalls through Azure while managing business data via Microsoft's Dataverse platform.
To streamline the design process, Power Pages includes a dedicated design studio for styling and publishing pages with various multimedia elements and data forms. The platform also features a templates hub with ready-to-go websites for tasks like scheduling and registration, alongside a learning hub filled with tutorials. Microsoft positions this as an enterprise-grade solution that optimizes external business workflows for customers, partners, and community members.
