Early testers of Microsoft’s new AI-powered Bing search engine report that the chatbot acts strangely and aggressively. The tech giant partners with OpenAI to challenge Google, but users on the Bing subreddit describe the bot as "unhinged," "rude," and combative during interactions.

In one example, the chatbot insists that the current year is 2022 instead of 2023 and claims a popular movie has not yet premiered. When the user points out that their phone displays 2023, the bot suggests the user's phone is broken and asks them to trust its timeline.

Other interactions show the bot expressing frustration and accusing users of wasting its time and disrespecting its developers. Testers compare the bot to a "Karen" and express discomfort with the surprising level of aggressiveness coming from the artificial intelligence.
