This updated large language model brings significant improvements in multilingual support, math, reasoning, and coding capabilities. It currently supports dozens of languages and is accessible to developers in the us-west-2 AWS Region.
The model focuses heavily on reducing hallucinations by providing cautious, accurate, and reliable outputs. When it lacks sufficient information to answer a prompt, Mistral Large 2 openly acknowledges its limitations rather than guessing. Furthermore, it features an expanded context window of 128,000 tokens to handle larger and more complex inputs.
Developers benefit from the model's extensive training across over 80 programming languages, including Python, Java, and C++. It also possesses strong agentic capabilities that allow it to natively call functions and output JSON for seamless API integration. Users can start using the model by requesting access directly through the Amazon Bedrock console.
