New Smart Pendant Uses Haptics to Guide Gamified Breath Work

Moksha releases a smart meditation pendant that uses air pressure sensors and gentle vibrations to teach proper breathing techniques without the need to count.

21 Sep 2024 • 1 min read

Moksha introduces a gamified meditation tool that helps users control and slow their breathing through a sleek metal pendant. Users simply inhale and exhale through a small cylindrical mouthpiece attached to a $43 necklace, which naturally promotes muscle relaxation and stabilizes blood pressure.

The device stands out because it features built-in air pressure sensors and haptic feedback technology. After a user exhales for 5.5 seconds, the pendant vibrates gently to signal the next inhale, completely removing the need to count in your head and allowing for deeper focus.

Creators Yash Ghanekar and Jaymin Shah develop the product after discovering the mental health benefits of breath work during a period of severe anxiety. Following a successful Kickstarter campaign and positive feedback from users with PTSD and anxiety, Moksha now sells the Bluetooth-enabled device directly on its website alongside a companion tracking app.
