Nura Adapts Personalized Sound Technology for New Wireless Earbuds
Australian startup Nura reveals the NuraLoop, a pair of wireless earbuds that utilize the same adaptive sound technology as the company's acclaimed over-ear headphones. The new device promises customized audio profiles and is set to launch in May at half the cost of the original model.
Australian audio company Nura brings its acclaimed adaptive sound technology to a new form factor with the NuraLoop earbuds at CES 2019. The startup previously earned high praise for its Nuraphones, which featured unique earbuds positioned inside over-ear cups, making this completely wireless design the logical next step for the brand.
Users calibrate the NuraLoop through a companion app that creates a digital image of their unique hearing profile to customize the audio output. Even those who already own the over-ear Nuraphones must complete this setup process again because the internal architecture of the earbuds differs significantly from the previous model.
The earbuds feature touch controls on the outside and come in both wired and wireless versions, with the company promising exceptional battery life for the Bluetooth model. Nura displays a prototype at the trade show this week, but the final version ships in May at roughly half the price of the larger headphones.
