NVIDIA Brings AI Supercomputer Manufacturing to US Soil
NVIDIA is partnering with major tech manufacturers to produce AI supercomputers entirely within the United States for the first time, starting with Blackwell chip production in Arizona.
NVIDIA collaborates with leading manufacturing partners to build AI supercomputers entirely in the United States for the first time. The company commissions over a million square feet of manufacturing space to produce and test NVIDIA Blackwell chips in Arizona and complete AI supercomputers in Texas. Production of the Blackwell chips officially starts at TSMC's facilities in Phoenix.
The tech giant constructs dedicated supercomputer manufacturing plants in Texas through partnerships with Foxconn in Houston and Wistron in Dallas. Mass production at both Texas facilities is expected to ramp up over the next 12 to 15 months. Additionally, NVIDIA teams up with Amkor and SPIL to handle complex packaging and testing operations in Arizona.
Within the next four years, NVIDIA plans to generate up to half a trillion dollars of AI infrastructure in the United States through these strategic partnerships. This massive domestic manufacturing effort is designed to strengthen supply chain resilience, meet the surging demand for AI chips, and create hundreds of thousands of jobs. The company utilizes its own advanced AI, robotics, and digital twin technologies to design and operate these state-of-the-art facilities.
