The DRIVE Hyperion platform provides a comprehensive, open architecture that includes high-performance computers and a robust sensor suite featuring 12 surround cameras, 12 ultrasonics, nine radar units, three interior cameras, and one front-facing lidar. It utilizes redundant NVIDIA DRIVE Orin systems-on-a-chip to ensure functional safety, meaning that if a computer or sensor fails, a backup system safely guides the vehicle.
