Leading global transportation companies showcase their latest autonomous mobility innovations at the CES trade show in Las Vegas this week. These automotive partners rely on the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX platform and AI to build the future of passenger vehicles, trucks, robotaxis, and autonomous delivery systems. NVIDIA accelerates this transformation by providing advanced cloud-based AI training, simulation, and in-vehicle compute technologies.

The spotlight shines on the NVIDIA DRIVE Thor system-on-a-chip, which is built on the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture to handle demanding data-intensive workloads. This processor delivers 1,000 teraflops of accelerated compute performance to run generative AI, vision language models, and large language models. These capabilities allow autonomous vehicles to efficiently process critical inference tasks like recognizing pedestrians and adjusting to severe weather conditions.

Aurora, Continental, and NVIDIA announce a long-term strategic partnership to deploy driverless trucks at scale using the DRIVE Thor SoC. Continental plans to mass-manufacture the Aurora Driver, an SAE level 4 autonomous driving system, by 2027, while technology partner Arm integrates its Neoverse V3AE CPU into the DRIVE Thor platform to meet strict automotive safety and performance demands.
