Nvidia Launches RTX 4070, 4070 Ti, and 4080 Super GPUs Under $1,000
Nvidia brings back its Super branding at CES 2024 with three new upgraded graphics cards that all retail for under $1,000.
Nvidia officially unveils three new graphics cards at CES 2024, bringing back the popular Super branding for its Lovelace generation. The new lineup includes the RTX 4080 Super, the RTX 4070 Ti Super, and the RTX 4070 Super, all designed to inject fresh competition into the market. These refreshed GPUs feature upgraded specs and aim to provide better value for PC gamers.
All three of the new Super cards come in under the $1,000 mark, addressing previous complaints about high pricing. The RTX 4080 Super leads the pack with an MSRP of $999, representing a 17% price drop from the original model. The RTX 4070 Ti Super lands at $799, while the RTX 4070 Super starts at $599, matching the launch prices of their non-Super predecessors.
This aggressive pricing strategy puts Nvidia in a much stronger position against AMD's current lineup. The RTX 4080 Super now directly challenges the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX at the same price point, while the RTX 4070 Ti Super takes aim at the RX 7900 XT. Meanwhile, the RTX 4070 Super boasts a 20% increase in shaders over the standard model to better compete with the RX 7800 XT.
