NVIDIA Posts Record $26 Billion Q1 Revenue, Announces Stock Split

NVIDIA reports massive 262% annual revenue growth driven by unprecedented data center demand for AI. The chipmaker also announces a ten-for-one stock split to make shares more accessible.

NVIDIA reports record quarterly revenue of $26.0 billion for the first quarter of fiscal 2025, marking a 262% increase from the same period last year. The company attributes this explosive growth to surging global demand for generative AI training and inference across cloud providers, enterprise customers, and various industries. GAAP earnings per diluted share also soar to $5.98, representing a 629% year-over-year jump.

The data center segment drives this phenomenal performance, generating $22.6 billion in revenue, which is up 427% from a year ago. CEO Jensen Huang declares that the next industrial revolution has begun as organizations transition traditional data centers into AI factories. He notes that demand extends well beyond major cloud services, reaching consumer internet companies, healthcare, automotive, and sovereign AI initiatives.

Looking ahead, NVIDIA prepares for its next growth wave with the Blackwell platform now in full production to support trillion-parameter-scale AI models. Additionally, the company announces a ten-for-one forward stock split effective June 7, 2024, alongside a 150% increase to its quarterly cash dividend. These financial moves aim to make stock ownership more accessible to employees and investors as the AI boom accelerates.
