NVIDIA Posts Record $6.51 Billion Revenue Driven by Gaming and Data Center Growth

NVIDIA reports massive 68 percent revenue growth for the second quarter of fiscal 2022, fueled by record-breaking sales in its Gaming and Data Center divisions. The company also highlights new software launches and the official release of its Omniverse simulation platform.

NVIDIA reports record revenue of $6.51 billion for the second quarter of fiscal 2022, marking a 68 percent increase from the previous year. This impressive growth stems from record performance across its Gaming, Data Center, and Professional Visualization platforms, with Gaming revenue reaching $3.06 billion and Data Center revenue hitting $2.37 billion.

The tech giant sees significant gains in its earnings, with GAAP earnings per diluted share jumping 276 percent compared to a year ago. CEO Jensen Huang attributes this ongoing success to NVIDIA's accelerated computing advancements, which currently power major technological developments in artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles, and digital biology.

Beyond the strong financial numbers, NVIDIA expands its enterprise software offerings with the launch of Base Command and Fleet Command for managing AI workloads. The company also officially releases NVIDIA Omniverse, a sophisticated simulation platform designed to create physically realistic virtual worlds and power the emerging industrial metaverse.
