Nvidia Revenue Surges 262% as Tech Giants Snap Up AI Chips
Nvidia reports record $26 billion quarterly revenue driven by massive demand for its artificial intelligence data center chips. The company forecasts continued growth with the upcoming launch of its new Blackwell processor line.
Record sales of artificial intelligence chips push Nvidia's revenue up 262 percent in the latest quarter, easily beating Wall Street expectations. The tech giant generates $26 billion in revenue for the three months ending in April, driven primarily by a 427 percent surge in its data center segment as major companies scramble to build AI infrastructure.
Chief executive Jensen Huang tells investors that the company expects significant revenue from its new Blackwell chips starting this quarter. He emphasizes that Nvidia maintains a strict one-year release rhythm for new, more powerful processors, ensuring a continuous pipeline of advanced AI hardware to meet exploding market demand.
Looking ahead, Nvidia projects revenue of about $28 billion for the current quarter, surpassing analyst estimates. The company also announces a 10-for-1 stock split effective June 7 and raises its quarterly cash dividend by 150 percent, moves that reflect immense confidence as Nvidia shares already climb more than 90 percent since the start of the year.
