Nvidia Unveils $349 RTX 2060 Graphics Card at CES

Nvidia breaks from its usual CES tradition by highlighting gaming instead of self-driving cars and data center AI. The company reveals the RTX 2060, the newest entry-level addition to its Turing-based desktop graphics card lineup that promises to bring next-generation visuals to a wider audience.
The new card costs $349 and hits the market on January 15. It features 6GB of frame buffer, 52 teraflops of Tensor Core processing power, and delivers a performance increase of 1.4 to 2 times compared to the previous-generation 1060 model, making it faster than the older 1070Ti cards.
Nvidia demonstrates the RTX 2060 by running Battlefield 5 at 1440p resolution with real-time ray tracing enabled. CEO Jensen Huang states that this release brings an unbeatable combination of price and performance, allowing tens of millions of desktop gamers to experience graphics that blur the line between video games and movies.
