NVIDIA Unveils RTX 40 SUPER GPUs and Generative AI Tools at CES 2024
NVIDIA showcases new GeForce RTX 40 SUPER Series GPUs, AI-powered laptops, and innovative generative AI tools for gamers and creators at CES 2024. The company also introduces ACE microservices to bring lifelike digital avatars to games and applications.
NVIDIA takes center stage at CES 2024 by unveiling its new GeForce RTX 40 SUPER Series GPUs alongside a fresh wave of AI-ready laptops. The company highlights its position at the heart of the generative AI transformation, noting that its installed base of over 100 million RTX GPUs serves as a crucial launching pad for mainstream AI adoption. These new hardware releases aim to put powerful AI tools directly into the hands of gamers and content creators.
To accelerate local generative AI, NVIDIA introduces the Chat with RTX playground, which allows users to connect large language models to their personal data using retrieval-augmented generation techniques. The company also reveals new TensorRT acceleration for the Automatic1111 text-to-image application, delivering up to a 60 percent performance boost for Stable Diffusion XL. These software advancements build on previous releases like the TensorRT-LLM library for Windows.
Additionally, NVIDIA debuts Avatar Cloud Engine (ACE) microservices equipped with generative AI models designed to create lifelike digital avatars. Demonstrations show how ACE processes a player's voice input through automatic speech recognition, passes the resulting text to an LLM for response generation, and brings digital characters to life. These ACE models run either in the cloud or locally on a user's PC.
