The platform also sees significant enterprise adoption, with over two million developers currently using the service, including more than 92% of Fortune 500 companies.
To mark the occasion, OpenAI unveils GPT-4 Turbo, a more powerful and cost-effective version of its flagship AI model. The company also introduces GPTs, which allow anyone to create customized versions of ChatGPT, and announces a forthcoming GPT Store where creators publish and potentially monetize their custom bots.
Additionally, OpenAI expands its developer offerings by making DALL-E 3 available through an API and launching the new Assistants API to help builders create agent-like experiences within their applications. The company also rolls out a text-to-speech API that provides developers with six preset voices and new generative AI model variants.
